Busy busy

I must have forgotten how busy things get with a newborn. How can such a little tiny person keep you so busy? Nothing gets done anymore. Except for eating, on Reid's part. There is plenty of that. And the 12 lbs on the scale show it. Here are a couple recent pictures to hold you over until I have time to really update. His favorite spot to sleep...right in between mommy and daddy!

Our growing boy

Hi, my name is Reid

In case you were wondering...here is a little more about me. Because that is what its all about, me, right?
*I like to think I am a good sleeper for my age. I have been nice to mommy and I've been sleeping at night and only waking to eat once or twice. Last night, I let her sleep for over 6 hours without bothering her.
*During the day, I like to be awake a lot. Especially in the evening when Daddy is home. He is my buddy. I think we are a lot alike. He is real easy going, and I like to think I am too. Life is easy!
*I don't bother anyone with my crying...or lack thereof. I have already heard too much of it from my big sister Chloe that I realize how annoying it is. And it doesn't do any good anyway. I mean, I will make some noise to get somones attention, and maybe cry a little if mommy doesn't feed me right away. But thats it. There is no need for it.
*Speaking of eating. Since I have come home from the hospital, I have gained a whole pound. Granted, I did lose some after I was born, but I have gained it back!
*Mommy tells everyone I'm a dream. I think thats a good thing.

My side of the story

My first question? Why is everyone so rushed around here? If I have learned anything, its that everyone needs to just chill and slow down. My daddy taught me that early. I like his idea of things. Just relax, no need to get all worked up. And that is what I did upon my entry into this new world. I just relaxed and took my sweet time. Not my sisters, they were here within hours. Me, I would have taken longer if I had the choice. 27 hours was too fast for me. I mean, really. What is the rush? Its too bright here, anyway. I dont think mommy was too happy that I took so long....

But daddy...he didn't mind. Except he said that chair was awefully uncomfortable....

I dont think that mommy was unhappy with me...I think she was more unhappy with the doctor. The one who stuck her back with 4 needles. I heard them say something about the needle not going in, just hitting her bone in her back. She felt most of the pain the whole time, but she is a trooper. I mean, if she could do it with my big sisters with nothing, she could deal with this...right?

Anyway, back to me.

I think Daddy was happy I was finally here.

Then I was greeted by my big sisters.

Sheesh, there is a lot of pink in this house. That needs to change.

Sometimes, I wake up and mommy is kissing my cheeks. They are kinda irresistable, aren't they?

Look who is 6!!!!!

Maddison turned 6 last week! We didn't do a big party, because I was not sure if I would be around or not. So, she and daddy went and picked out a cake...High School Musical ice cream cake! For dinner, she picked the place...it was between McDonalds, Pizza Hut, or Catfish Place. Catfish Place won...so the girls could get thier gator bites! It was real low key, but perfect. Maddison is growing up way too fast. I love this little girls to pieces!

Baby Shower and update

My wonderful friends threw me a baby shower a couple weeks ago. It was perfect. I didn't have a huge guest list, because honestly, who wants to come to another baby shower...especially for a 4th child...so it was small and perfect. The food was delish! And the decorations were adorable. And, again, I did not take a ton of pictures. The ones I did take, I realized afterwards that my camera was on the wrong setting, so they came out blurry. Ooops! My favorite part...the candy bar! So cute! A game was played that I had never seen before...who could drink the apple juice from the bottle the fastest! Camille won, with Eva coming in a close 2nd place. Funniest game ever!
Thanks again, Munns girls, for the fabulous time!!!
As far as Reid goes...well, after stopping him from coming a few weeks ago, he has decided that he is nice and comfy right where he is. The doctor has done several things to me in the past couple weeks to maybe get labor going, but nothing. Bryan is a little disappointed that nothing has happened, since the Father/Son campout is this weekend! (dont worry, mom...he would not have taken him anyway!) I have 1 week left. And, surprisingly, I am not that uncomfortable. So, it really does not bother me to wait. I go in next Tuesday (if I make it) and will schedule an induction for later next week. Can't wait to meet this little booger!

Mothers Day

At school, the girls both had a Mother's Day Tea Party and performance. I was so excited to go, since we missed last years. And, of course, I got caught up in the moments and did not take as many pictures as I would have liked.
Hana was first. I was so proud. This was the first performance she got up and did not cry, but sang all the songs with a big smile! Afterwards, it was back to her room for refreshments. I loved the fact that they were instructed to pull the chairs out for us, and serve us our food. I was not allowed to get up for anything! And, of course, all the pictures and poems that she did were priceless.
Maddison was in the afternoon. Same thing...she had to serve me my food and drink. The kids sang songs. There was a great slide show. And, once again, some priceless poems and writings from her!
That night, little baby Reid decided he was going to give me a mother's day gift and show up! I had been having contractions for 2 days...10 minutes apart, and Friday night, they were getting closer. Bryan was at a campout and I called him to come home, we got to the hospital, all ready for this little boy....and after a few hours, they gave me an injection to stop labor. I was 1 day shy of 36 weeks, so, for legal reasons, they could not deliver me. Which, in the end was fine. Now he will just be a little bigger and chubbier when he does decide to come!!
And, Mother's Day day....ended up being the best one I have had yet. The girls are old enough now to know what the day is about and they were so good to me. I am blessed to have such sweet girls, and a wonderful husband! (this was the only picture taken on Mother's Day!)

Disney

Back in April, my sneaky husband was making plans to surprise the family and take us to Disney. Meanwhile, he didn't know that I was making plans for a baby shower for a friend, at our house...the same weekend. Luckily, he told me a few days in advance of his plans, so that I could work around mine! We ended up taking the girls out of school to go swim at one of the pools that Bryan had been working on (or, this is what we told them). We went to Animal Kingdom lodge, ended up getting there late, and only swam for a little while. Afterwards, we told them that since it was so late, we would just stay there. They were so excited! Our room ended up being beautiful. It was a vacation club room...so it had a full kitchen, living room, extra bedroom, and a bathroom with the most luxurious jacuzzi! In the morning, I left early to come home and host a baby shower here (I ended up leaving before it was over), while Bryan took the girls to Animal Kingdom. I met up with them after lunch and we went to Magic Kingdom. They had so much fun. It was Chloe's first time, so she loved it. We were able to go on almost all of the rides. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures. I always get caught up in the moment and forget to get out my camera...but here are a few. Thanks again to my wonderful husband for allowing us to get away for a few days...even if it was just down the road! Outside of the lodge, they have all sorts of animals. The girls kept saying "Those are Watussi...we have those in our back yard" Not too exciting for them when they see them every day!! Breakfast of champs...pop-tarts!Early morning, looking out the balcony...The only ride we have a picture of! They got so terrified on Pirates of the Carribean and Haunted Mansion...but at the end of the day, they told us those were their favorites!
