So, I just now realized that next week is 4th of July....what? June is over? This year is going so fast. I am going to be 27 in a month...almost time for Botox!!!! No, not really. If I do anything, I am going for the whole face lift! I'm kidding dad! Anyway, so July is coming, our house is closing...hopefully. I have this big huge fear that we are going to get to closing and they wont be there. So, just pray that that does not happen. As far as packing goes, its coming along. I try to get at least 2 boxes a day done. That way I wont be overwhelmed next week. And, if everything goes as planned, we will move in Saturday the 8th. Cant wait. In fact, I just spoke with the management company today. They initially wanted 3 months rent up front...of course we said no. Then he told me they wanted to sign and get the money this week, so they could touch up the place and finish things that were not done. That is not our obligation. Our money should not go to that. We said no, we will sign and give you the money the day before we move in...honestly, over $4,000 a over a week before we move? Not happening. They agreed! I will send everyone an adress update and all that good stuff! We will talk soon! Love you all and come see us soon.

Last night, Maddie started complaining that her mouth hurt. I looked in it and her throat was all white spotted...i thought strept. I took her in this morning, they all have a virus that is going around, Maddie's turned into some type of ulcer, I forgot what the doctor called it. Its basically cold sores all up and down her throat...and can last for 10 days. At least I know what the problem is and that it isnt serious, just painful for her. Too bad she doesnt eat ice cream, jello, popsicles, pudding....she could have gotton real spoiled!!

Sick kiddies
Chloe had her shots last week...they gave her 5!! Of course, she had a fever in the evening and the following days. When it came to be Tuesday and she was still running a fever, I was concerned, so I took her to the doctor, only to find out she has a virus. She was fine last night. I guess she got over it. Today started off as a good day. The girls got up at 6:30, as normal...had breakfast...got ready for gramma nutsy (grandma nancy)...but as we got in the car to go out for lunch, Maddie started complaining that her neck hurt (later figured out it was swollen glands). We got our lunch and sat down and she crawled up in my lap, and right then I knew she was sick, she had a burning head. All she wanted was for me to hold her. And it came on so fast. So, after we all ate, we stopped and got her some medicine...went to Harmony to see the house...came home and had cupcakes for Chloe...I gave Maddie another dose of Motrine, and about 10 minutes later, she was good to go. She still has not eaten dinner, and I was just holding her and she fell asleep in my lap for the night (its 7:30 right now). So she is down, Chloe went down for the night at 6:30, and then there is Hana. About an hour ago, I realized she has still not eaten dinner, which is odd since she is the first to point out that it is dinner time! I asked if she was ok...she didnt know. She layed down, fell asleep, and I went over to her to find she was on fire too! I woke her up, gave her motrin, and now she is a little better and in my bed, eating a pbj sandwich and watching Lady and the Tramp. She feels a little better, but I can still tell she is not feeling good. So, hopefully in the morning they will all be well...oh, Hana just pointed out to me that she forgot to do her excercises tonight...thats ok, I will do them in the morning....she listens to me too much!! Anyway, this was not an email to get pitty...just felt like letting you know what was going on in the Melick house! As far as the move goes, still just waiting for the weeks to go by till closing! Love everyone and miss you all!!

A place to call "home"
We got it. We went to the house, it is perfect, and we are renting with the option to buy. It is so great. It is in a town called Harmony...for those of you who dont know where or what that is, it is about 10 miles east of Saint Cloud, middle of nowhere and it is like the town of Disney's Celebration...and for those of you who dont know what Celebration is...it is a little 'town' all of its own...complete with a town hall, pool, shopping, dining, schools, all combined into a little community. It is so great. The homes are beautiful, although a little close together, all of the parks, pools, nature walks, golf courses...it all makes up for it. The house itself is a cute yellow house with siding, NOT STUCCO!!!! It is 2 story, 3 bed/2 1/2 bath...HUGE rooms, bigger than ours at least...kitchen is huge...tons more cabinets than I have now...great covered patio...a laundry room UPSTAIRS!!! It is just all around great. The park is a block from the house. The pool is just around the corner. The school, which doesnt have pre-k, but that is ok, is walking distance. I am just happy that we have finally found something that I can look forward to. And, it is new, no one has lived in it, so no work needs to be done!!! YAY! So, three weeks, we will be in. I will let you all know all the changes when the time comes. love you all and cant wait for everyone to come visit!!
Did we find it?
I dont want to say much, just in case it does not work, but I think we found it. We go to look at the house today at 11:30. For those of you reading, if you could just pray that this one works out...thanks and we will let you know later....

Changes
So, just to update real quickly...we are moving in 3 weeks. Yep, they wanted to close at the begining of July instead of the last week...Bryan agreed of course...not realizing it was only 3 weeks to pack and find a home. Thats right...we are now homeless. It is too late to buy something so it looks like we are going to rent until we find the perfect home...or better, property to build our own home. So, just looking and stressing and worrying about how things are going to turn out. Meanwhile, Bryan is the busiest he has ever been with his construction company. He told me today he needs to hire a secretary...he has been so busy answering his phone he cant get any work done. He has been doing mainly docks and decks, which I think he wants to stick to, since the housing market is so slow right now. I guess he has a 300ft dock coming up. Watch out for the gators! That and now he is trying to open a wakeboard shop. "Boone Wake and Skate"...a dream of his for a while. He is in the process of getting the rights to different companies to sell their things. So far, he has just dealt with Gatorboards, which they have already approved him, and Hyperlite...like he has enough time for all this!! So thats what is going on. Hopefully next update we will have a new place. We will keep you posted. Oh yeah, Grampa Tree (and Lisa) pictures will be coming soon. My digital camera is broken, so I am using the disposable kind. It may take a while!!

Crap
Sorry, I just realized the pictures I posted are real crappy looking....why are they so blurry? I think that if you just click on the pictures themselves, they will come up more clear....
Taylor and the girls
Just a few pictures...
The other day, Chloe found a little friend outside the window that she decided to talk to. I am still not sure if it was a lizard or a snake...only she knows! Then, she and Maddie decided to play, dont be decieved by the 'CLEAN' marked on the side, so not true! And, Hana wanted me to show all of you the picture of her swinging at the ranch. Oh how she loves those big trees, she said they were like Grampa Tree!!!

We went looking again today for a home...no luck. It seems like whatever is in our price range is junk...some still have damage from the hurricanes 2 YEARS AGO. Hey, we could go north a little and buy a mansion for the price they are selling homes these days. I guess I can't complain...we did sell ours for almost twice as much as we payed 2 years ago. There were a few nice places on the lake that we are considering. I am not sure if I want lakefront property or a large 1-2 acre lot...oh the decisions. On another note, my good friend, who is 36, mind you, was just over here. Bryan is going to be building their home and they had to go over the plans. Anyway, she just informed us the other day she is pregnant with child number 10. Yep, 10 kids, the oldest is not quite 16, and she is only 36. She amazes me. She has to be the most patient woman I know. I just dont know how some of you do it with that many children. I guess after a few, it doesnt make a difference anymore...9, 10, who's counting? ME. I tell you, we need to quit going out with them or else Bryan is going to get a few ideas.

Today turned out to be a great day. We had a church picnic out at the ranch. It was your typical picnic with tire swings, burgers and hot dogs, softball game and the lake jumping. There was a lake there with trees hanging out over the water for kids, not mine, to climb up and jump off of. Our friends brought their boat and everyone took turns going out on it. When it came our turn, Bryan and Chloe stayed in the boat and the girls and I went on this raft thing. It is like a tube in the sense that it is inflated and is pulled by the boat but it is a huge raft...it can fit 4 adults, and its so much fun. They didnt pull it too fast, but fast enough for the girls to get a kick out of it. Then Bryan and some others went wakeboarding while we rode in the boat. It reminded me of being in Wisconsin at the lake...I loved it and miss it. By the time we were done, everyone had left and it was time to go home. Everyone crashed and is in bed now, but me! Nice and quiet! I hope everyone who is reading this is having a great weekend as well. Tomorrow is church and then Monday we have a pool party and will be busy finishing painting the house. Only 6 weeks!!!! Cant wait!

"Put your behind in the past..."
I just have to say how thankful I am for the way my life has gone and where The Lord has led me. You (or maybe just me) often are left wondering where you would be and what you may doing if you had not made certain decisions, if you had stayed connected with certain people. I wonder that alot. If I had kept in contact with friends from the past, would I be the same person I am today? I learned about the path a few close friends of mine from the past have taken, and its not a good one. It makes me thankful for the decisions I made through my life to get me here. It makes me thankful for my family, for my husband, my kids. In fact, if it were not for Bryan seeing some good in me, I am sure I would be right along with my old friends. He saw something special and turned my life around. I am sad for the people I left behind. I am sad that things had to go the way they did. We make our own decisions in life. The Lord gives us free agency. He teaches us what is right and what is wrong and we are in charge of what we do. We choose our destiny. I am glad that I chose this one.

What a loooooooong weekend......
Busy, busy bees, are we! It all started Friday, my cousin Amy was in town with her 4 year old daughter so the girls and I decided to go see them and swim for the day at the pool where they are staying. Hana and Taylor had a blast. Amy, they will not stop talking about their new best friend. When they play in their room, they pretend she is with them! Thanks for letting us play! Saturday, all 5 of us went to Disney's Animal Kingdom with Bryans cousin. We had so much fun. We went to see the Lion King show, which was like a Broadway show. It was incredible. Matthew's roommate is in it, so we were able to sit up front and then afterwards, we went back and met some of the cast. The girls loved it. After some more rides, we went on to Epcot. They have the flower and garden show right now so there were flowers everywhere. Dad, you would have loved it! They girls loved seeing the princesses made out of flowers! In all, it was a great day to be a family, aside from a few breakdowns from tired kids! Yesterday was Mothers Day. Not much to comment about. I had to get up at 6 with the kids....no bitterness from me! We went to church, Hana sang with the kids for the mothers but I did not get to see it because Chloe had just thrown up all over me, so I cried about that! The kids were argueing all day. Chloe screamed all day because of molars coming in. I had a horrible migraine which finally, at about 1am settled down. So, that day pretty much was like any other day!!! Today, much better. Headache not as bad, girls are SO good. We have tons of pictures to share so I will post them soon. I hope everyone else is doing well. Hopefully this week we will here from the people who made an offer on our house to see if they still want it. We accepted the offer, but our realtor cannot get ahold of them to let them know we accepted. We will keep you posted! Until then, love you all and miss you!

Nothing New
Same old things going on here. This past weekend was so beautiful. Bryan spent the day running errands and then working in the yard...sound familiar dad? The girls and I decided to add a little color to the outdoors. I told them that they could pick out whatever flowers they wanted and we would plant them in a pot for them. So, as we were looking at them, Hana would say how pretty they were and then ask me what they were called. As we passed the petunias, I told her what they were and she said, "Mmmmm, smells like a tuna. Lets get some tunas for our garden." We ended up getting daisies and marigolds. The colors matched and the girls liked that! We also planted seeds for forget-me-knots and I was able to finally transplant my peppers, cucumbers and basil to bigger poets since they are growing so well. Bryan and I had the chance, AGAIN, to get a babysitter and go out with some friends. I tell ya, we have gone out more this past month than in the past 5 years combined. Its great! And then, yesterday was of course spent at church. This week there is not much planned. If something great happens we will be sure to tell you all!! Maddie wants some pictures taken with her sisters to put up on the computer, so if that ends up happening, we will be sure to post them!

"Bless our bodies use"
Every day, the girls say prayer before they eat to bless the food. They are determined to say it themselves. When its Maddies turn, she will say, "...thank you for the food and bless our bodies use...". So, the other night we had prayer as usual before bed. Once again, Maddie was determined to say it. It went something like this, "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for our blessings...thank you for the missionaries and the church and bless our bodies use...". So sweet and innocent. She did a good job!!
